So far behind...so little time

I am WAY behind on my blogging. I need more hours in the day and days in the week. We have stayed super busy and are doing great (minus a double ear infection for Tanner at the moment). I will soon update pictures of his 1st Birthday and birthday party, his visit with Granna and Johnny and most importantly his first cake experience! Am I working...yes! I am grateful to have a few contracts that have kept me busy with work and some income. Tanner and I have still been able to attend swim classes weekly - I am not quite ready to give that time up. However, as the work picks up the days Tanner attends daycare is increasing (which is a good thing). Ok - I promise to do better. I know I need to...you all count on me for entertainment! LOL

Pool time. Splash, splash

Tanner loves the water. We also take swim classes on Wednesday of each week for a 30 minute lesson. The first week he and I were both lost. The second lesson he made great strides and began placing his face to the water to make bubbles. By the third lesson he was beginning to play with putting his face in the water. And now…he loves pool time! He can go underwater and he is not afraid, he is not coughing or choking or swallowing the water. Great progress!! We swim as often as we can. We pile on the sunblock…for both of us, put on our hats and hang out in the shaded side of the pool.

Tanner's 1 year photos

My friend, Mel Zawadzki recently took some photos of Tanner. She did an amazing job. See all of them by clicking here! Need an Arizona based photographer, contact Mel !

Where have I been? Good question!

Tanner and I are beginning to settle into Phoenix. I have yet to wake up and say, “What the hell have I done?!” Which, that tells me I made the right decision for us. Tanner goes to daycare two times a week now (Tuesday’s and Thursday’s). I use those days to get everything done…from sending out resumes, meeting with old contacts, interviewing, taking long naps and even shaving my legs! Yeah, sad, I know…but Tuesday’s and Thursday’s allow me to spend the necessary time I need to take care of me. As much as I love Tman and adore being with him I equally enjoy our time apart. It makes for a very happy reunion when I pick him up from daycare!
